For example, people know that whooping cough (pertussis) is dangerous to infants. But people didn’t know that pertussis could complicate a teenager’s life, that is, until we got involved with the Dane County Immunization Coalition.
Our PSA's made it clear that whooping cough cases were on the rise among teenagers and that serious medical complications could arise. With our strategic planning help, two-thirds of those surveyed by Dane-Trak reported vaccinating their adolescent children.
